The Ship That Sails Itself to Valinor

Just wondering... I'm very heavily invested in reading/writing complicated, bittersweet and angsty content for this ship, yet at the same time I will readily bounce on any really sweet 'n fluffy stuff, like DeHeerKonijin's art (or her new ficlet, afterglow, which really prompted this post), and it annoys me that there's this portion of the emotional spectrum I enjoy, yet find difficult to reproduce in my own content.

Like, I know Gimli and Legolas have all the props of tragedy built in, but it's not all they are; there would be plenty of room for frivolity, too. So, could I please ask you to share your silliest, sappiest headcanons? (And maybe get my own writing head geared on right...)
