For the whole year they have been living and working in Minas Tirith, Legolas and Gimli have postponed their marriage – planning to wait on even their elven wedding until the conditions are right for the dwarven ceremony as well. But on the eve of their parting to Ithilien and Aglarond, faced with the prospect of an indefinite separation, they decide they can wait no longer. They want to be wed now, so they can part as true husbands – and so they can finally satisfy long-deferred desires.

To both of their distress – and the great amusement of Legolas’s companions – they are soon to learn that some desires are not so easily deferred . . . and that the formation of the marital bond is only the beginning.

A collab I've been working on for a long time, with art and images! The first chapter is up and I'm so excited about it. Be careful, though - there are images and they are very NSFW.

Nowhere Else

Summary: In preparation of an anticipated attack from nearby Dunland, Éomer has ordered that Aglarond go into lockdown.

At least Legolas and Gimli are together.

I wrote this for Lock Down Fest in an effort to cope with the current uncertainty. The fic itself isn't about the virus, but there are certainly some parallels. If you're looking for somewhere to channel your emotions - or just want some fic to distract yourself - the fest is open until March 30.

You know how sometimes when you're writing it can be difficult to remember little logistical details? Or maybe big logistical details? There were a couple scenes in our most recent story where urbanspaceman and I were having trouble remembering a few IMPORTANT DETAILS, and we decided to keep a list of little physical details we'd written in so we wouldn't forget about them later.

And I don't know about you other ficcers, but I seem to be the kind of person who, when writing elf/dwarf fanfic, tends to forget one of the ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS OF A DWARF.

So naturally, for one of the items on our list, I had to write "GIMLI HAS A VERY LARGE BEARD" to remind myself of it.

Which is probably funny enough on its own without Urbanspaceman adding, "HER NAME IS GALADRIEL" right after it.

And I think I'll just leave that here for you.

If you are one of those people who's been holding off on reading A Tangled Web because you're afraid urbanspaceman and I will never finish it, you may put those fears to rest..
